Meet the Northland Farm Services team
Grant Shaw
Grant has lots of hands-on, practical experience as a heavy fabricator welder at Culham Engineering, who moved into working with milking machinery. Since joining the family business at the age of 18, he has honed his skills in the design, set up and maintenance of milking machines, as well as being an expert of all aspects of water, effluent and milking systems.
Grant and his partner, Jennifer, are now majority shareholders alongside his parents, Garry and Bronwyn. He thrives on continuing the family line of knowledge and great customer service.
Brad Ratford
Brad began working as a service technician at Northland Farm Services in May 2020. With over 20 years’ experience working in the agriculture sector in dairy, sheep and beef, and contracting businesses, Brad brings a wealth of practical knowledge and experience to our service team. He enjoys the challenge of applying these skillsets to a range of new scenarios on a daily basis through his work at Northland Farm Services.
When not at work, Brad is most likely to be found fishing, diving, on the motorcross track, or spending time with his family.
Emma Sanders
Emma joined the Northland Farm Services team in 2021 as our administration manager. She brings with her a wealth of customer service experience from a variety of past roles, including medical reception and as a bank manager. When not at work, Emma is an integral member of the Hikurangi Fire Brigade and a mum to three teenage boys.
Steve Gordon
Steve originally joined the Northland Farm Services team as a service technician early in 2021. With a background in mechanics and hydraulics, Steve has expanded the Northland Farm Services skillset. He enjoys the variety of challenges that day-to-day work at Northland Farm Services brings- no two days are the same! Outside of work, Steve enjoys taking an active role in the Hikurangi Fire Brigade and spending time with his family.
Damon Adams
Damon has been part of the team here since May 2023. He enjoys working at Northland Farm Services as no two days are the same and there’s always something different to do. When not at work, he enjoys making recycled furniture and spending time with his wife, Daphne, and children Hannah and Hunter.
